Clermont at a Glance
Often called the Gem of the Hills, Clermont enjoys a strategic location that provides
easy access to many of Florida's
attractions. Clermont is only a short drive from Walt
Disney World and Universal
Studios and a day trip takes visitors to Daytona
Beach and the Kennedy
Space Center. The city itself is full of tourist attractions, such as Lake
Louisa State Park, which provides areas for camping, riding and walking. The
park also boasts a chain of 13 lakes connected by the Palatlakaha River. Over
15 golf courses are found in the surrounding areas in addition to numerous lakes
and canals. Visitors can tour the Lakeridge
Winery and Vineyards and try various fine wines while taking in entertaining
events throughout the year, such as fine arts, blues and jazz shows. Visitors
can also mark their visit by enjoying exceptional views of Clermont at the top
of Citrus
